Westminster Digital visits the event locations and coordinates with the conference personnel to ensure all technical requirements are in place and tested. Sound checks are carried out with the Audio company selected to cover the meetings.
As connectivity is a key issue, Westminster Digital liaises with the venue IT department well in advance of the event to ensure there is time to order ISDN lines from BT if required.
Other important issues to consider in this phase are whether the event is going to be broadcast live or on-demand, different formats the event is going to be presented in that are discussed in 'Event' section and event sizes.
Event Sizes
Small Event
This package is designed for simple in-office productions for creating pre-recorded or live broadcasts or interviews. This package is perfect for the announcement of new products, interviewing specialists and for training programmes. Blue screen backdrops can be used so that graphics can be inserted behind the presenter if the natural backdrop is not appropriate. Typically the production duration is half day filming and half day post-production.
Westminster Digital can incorporate PowerPoint slides into presentations during which time codes for slide changes will be recorded for slide changes. In the post-production phase, the slides are added to the video and a 'Seek-To' menu is added to the console so users can navigate within the presentation. The control bar in has a scroll feature so users can shuffle the video forward and backwards.

Medium Event
This package is designed for medium in-office productions for creating live or pre-recorded broadcasts and interviews. For medium size events, two cameras are used. This allows for recording of the interviewer and interviewee or presenter and the audience at the same time. The second camera could be unmanned in order to keep costs to a minimal but without jeopardising quality.
PowerPoint slides can be incorporated into presentations and then synchronised with the video.

Large Event
This package is designed for large event productions for creating live or pre-recorded broadcasts and interviews. This package is ideal for high-volume productions where real-time broadcasting is required such as time-critical announcements to the market.
For large events three cameras are used. This allows for recording of the interviewer and interviewee or presenter and the audience at the same time. One of the cameras used could be unmanned in order to keep costs to a minimal but without jeopardising quality.
PowerPoint slides can also be incorporated into presentations and then synchronised with the video.
